Saundra Davis Bio

Saundra Davis is currently running for FCPS School Board At-Large. The mother of 3 children, she chose to stay in Fairfax County after her husband retired from the military so her children could partake in the educational opportunities and excellence this area afforded. What they did not realize at the time was that she would end up having to fight to protect those same educational opportunities for future generations.

The product of a military family herself, Saundra earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and her master's degrees in Health Care Administration and Gerontology from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Saundra also has many volunteer experiences under her belt but her last place of formal employment was as the director of a secure memory care unit in a nursing home. She intended to return to this field after raising her children, but life is funny like that. Instead, she feels called to protect another vulnerable population, the children of Fairfax County Public Schools.
